The home of the painter Ramón Mascort in Torroella de Mongrí has been converted into the headquarters of the Mascort Foundation which is dedicated to deepening understanding of Art, History and Nature. An interior patio retains the ancient wells once used to collect rainwater. Because no sun reaches it, shade plants were selected to plant in the traditional clay pots made in La Bisbal. Decorative clorophitum, agapanthus, alocasia and ferns hang from the columns.
