Val d’Aran

A garden created for family enjoyment with large vegetable plot and a wide annual bed bordered by a hand-laid stone surface. The proprietors’ great joy is the vegetable garden which they tend themselves year-round. When the snow cover melts, they seed the border with cosmos, sunflowers, zinnia, and poppies. In summer, the bright colors of the annual flowers contrast with the dark tones of the local stone and slate. A garden designed for play, for harvesting and for gathering friends around.
